New Head of SEN joins the team

Chris Huntley is joining the Ebdaah team from her role as Head Teacher at the Rashid Centre for the Disabled in Dubai. Over the past 32 years she has gained experience working with children with a very wide variety of special needs, including moderate, severe, or profound and complex learning difficulties. She works with students with ASD, cerebral palsy and hearing impairment. She has also worked in mainstream learning support departments and regularly trains teachers both in the UK and Middle East. For many years she has collaborated with speech therapists to use music in new ways to enhance speech and language development. Her work within the area of music for the deaf and other special needs has been ground breaking and has challenged the limited perceptions of society towards children with special needs.
